Log 1

Hello, my name is Lulu. Before you really know me, first let me talk about my reading journey. Since I was a child, I really like to read comic books, newspaper, and novels. Moreover, I could recognize many Chinese characters when I was in kindergarten. Absolutely, the types of novels I like to read are romantic, horror, thriller and detective. When I was read these words, it can make me feel like I'm in the plot. However, I seldom read English book in my free time. The English book which I like is “ Pride and Prejudice”. This is a very classic novel. Because a report in high school gave me the opportunity to meet Jane, Austin. She is a very good and amazing writer.

Therefore, I want to improve my writing skills in the course. Especially the writing skills which can make others feel this is a good essay. Now let me talk a little about myself. My hobbies are singing and playing the guitar. When I feel stressed, I always take out my guitar and play it with my voice. This can really release my pressure. I really like to watch movies, too. In my life. music is the most important and beautiful thing.

  1. Hi Lulu!
Jane Austin is an amazing writer, but did you know that she published her novels under the seudoname "By a Lady", keeping her name anonymous. Writing at that time, was mostly something that men did. What it is worse, she didn't receive a fair paid. For me, that makes her novels even more interesting as if writing was the most important and beautiful thing in her life, despite the challenges.

Do you sing your own songs? I love singing too, althought I don't really know how to play an instrument. And I like artists that can write their own lyrics. Recently I am listening to Faouzia. She said that she loves reading and that her lyrics are very dramatic not because her life is dramatic, but because books give her most of the inspiration. Maybe you have an artist that you can recommend me? I kinda only listen to Teresa Teng (鄧麗君) in Chinese xD
