I borrowed a book which named “ The boy in the Striped Pajamas” from my friend. This book is a 2006 historical fiction novel by Irish novelist John Boyne.

For me, it is a book which is hard to guess what it will tell from its name, but easy to understand the plot. In the chapter 1, a little boy did not know why the domestic helper picked up his stuff without asking him in advance. He felt furious, so he asked his mother to give him an explanation. Then, his mother told him that they had to move into another place because of his father’s job. At first, the boy was very reluctant. As a result, It took the boy’s mother much time to persuade the boy to be willing to change the dwelling house.

In my opinion, from this chapter I could guess that after moving into an unfamiliar environment, there will be many challenges waiting for the boys. I felt so happy that I could realize and remember all of the plot in this chapter. Therefore, it was the first time I am interested in an English novel looking forward to reading the next chapters.
