I borrowed the book “Twilight” which from NTUST library. The reason why I choose this book is that I know the movie is very famous and best-selling. However, I never read the book and watch the movie. By this chance I decided to read it. Twilight author is Stephenie Meyer. It is the first novel in a four-book series that explores the romance between a teenage girl and a vampire. The book is widely known for its themes of forbidden love, danger, and the tension between human life and the supernatural world. I decided to read Twilight because I’ve always been interested in stories about fantasy and the supernatural. The idea of a human falling in love with a vampire seemed really exciting and different from the usual love stories. I was also curious about the popularity of the book. Since so many people have read it and talked about it, I wanted to see what made it so special and if I would enjoy it too. Another reason was that I had heard the book has a lot of suspense and romance, and I enjoy reading books where there’s a mix of mystery and emotion. Reading Twilight gave me the chance to escape into a world that was both familiar, because of the high school setting, and unfamiliar because of the supernatural elements like vampires. I found the combination of these two things to be really interesting and it kept me engaged throughout the story.

I start to read the first chapter with curiosity. After I read the chapter I was very disappointed. The plot is not so attractive as I think. It mostly describes the growth environment and character portrayal of the heroine. But between the lines, I can feel how romantic the plot will be.
