This time, I read different chapters from Grimms' Fairy Tales, and the story I chose is Brother and Sister.
This story helped me understand the power of love, especially the love between the sister and her brother. It shows true sibling love. Even when the stepmother was cruel to them and life was hard, the sister always protected her brother. After he turned into a deer, she still took care of him and never gave up. This kind of love and sacrifice made me see how important family is. It is stronger than any challenges or problems and brings warmth and support.
The story also teaches that it is important to stay hopeful and kind during difficult times. The sister stayed kind and strong, even when things were tough with the evil stepmother and her brother’s transformation. Her love and strength helped them beat the evil and find happiness. This made me think that no matter how hard life is, if we stay kind and believe in ourselves, we will find happiness in the end.
The king in the story also plays an important role. He stands for justice. After learning the truth, he punished the evil stepmother and gave the siblings justice. This shows that justice will always come, and it made me realize that good people will be rewarded and bad people will be punished, in both real life and stories.
In conclusion, this story showed me the power of love.
