Log4

Recently, I'm reading a well-known book, “The Old Man and The Sea”. I chose this book to read because I have known some information about it since I was a child but I have never had a chance to read it. Hence, when I saw the book put on the bookshelf in the school library, I was interested in it and started to read it.
The book was about an old fisherman who had not caught any fish for over eighty days but still had never given up. After reading some pages, I can feel the resilience of the old man and respect him very much because not everyone can have such huge patience to insist on doing the same thing for a long time. Besides, the features which are worth learning of the old man are also his confidence and his less care about others gossips and laughs. This makes me reflect on myself. Sometimes, I’m afraid of trying especially after making a mistake.  However, the old man believed that he could catch fish every time when he set sail and ignored those who laughed at him due to his everyday defeat. This also makes me feel more curious about what will happened next in the story.
Except for the plots of the story, I am also impressed by the writing skills of the author. He used many adjectives to not only describe the old man’s appearance but also every behaviors and situations, which make a vivid picture in my brain. In this way, I can understand the story better and read with more joy. I hope I can also learn more about this kind of skills after reading the book and use them when writing in the future.
